To be sure, you can measure the thread diameter of the current handle. The old handle can sometimes be very tight, either because the threads are rusty or because the manufacturer installed it with thread adhesive. In either case, it's best to heat the filter holder with a blowtorch (use a vice!); in most cases, the handle will then easily unscrew.
